Join The Table
At Sumac, the table is never just about what’s on the plate.
It’s about who grew it, who made it, who carried it here, and who sits down together to share it.
This is an open invitation to be part of that work.
Our Farmers & Makers
Sumac exists because of the land
and the people who steward it.
We work closely with east coast farmers, fishers, foragers, growers, millers, makers, and producers who share our values: respect for the land, integrity in their craft, and a belief that good food starts long before it reaches the kitchen.
We aim for transparency, fairness, and long-term relationships—season by season, year by year.
If you grow, raise, harvest, or make something with intention, we want to know you.
Collaboration & Shared Ideas
Some of the best things happen when people sit down together without a rigid plan.
We’re open to collaborations that feel aligned—whether that’s a shared dinner, a seasonal project, a product idea, a workshop, a story worth telling, or something we haven’t imagined yet.
If you’re a maker, artist, grower, cook, educator, or creative thinker with an idea rooted in place, seasonality, or community, we’d love to hear from you.
Not everything needs to be big. Some things just need to be honest.
Join Our Team
Working at Sumac is about more than service—it’s about care, attention, and pride in doing things well.
We’re looking for people who are curious, kind, grounded, and eager to learn. People who respect the rhythm of seasons, value teamwork, and understand that hospitality is both skill and spirit.
Experience matters, but so does attitude. We believe in mentoring, growth, and building a workplace where people feel seen and supported.
If you’re interested in joining our team—front or back of house—we invite you to reach out.
The Wider Table
Sumac is part of a larger community.
Over time, this table may hold shared meals, stories, learning, and celebration—ways of bringing people together beyond the daily service.
We’re building slowly and intentionally, alongside the people who make this place home.
If this resonates with you, you’re already part of it.
Pull up a chair.
There’s room here.
